Cate Blanchett has put speculation to rest. The Oscar-winning actress confirmed at the Sydney premiere of her new film, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, on Saturday night that she is pregnant.

“Yes, I am,” said the mother of two boys.

“It’s early days yet. It’s due in April,” added Blanchett, who said she did not know the sex of the new baby.
