According to a new report, the number of gay and lesbian personalities on non-scripted TV continues to rise.

From Project Runway to Work Out the gays have hit reality full force as contestants, consultants and judges.

This, however, is in stark contrast to reports that the number of gay and lesbian characters on scripted TV has declined.

A lot of it sucks anyway.!

Plus, Project Runway star, the openly gay Tim Gunn suggested in a past interview that non-scripted gay portrayals may have more impact than scripted ones, “They’re just very honest portrayals. Versus all the contrivances when they’re scripted.”

And, unlike the narrow minded olden days, advertisers are spending money on the gay-friendly reality shows as they’ve grown more comfortable with gay themes.

The gays are taking over!
