The old dog got a lucky break.
Comedian Jerry Lewis‘ firearm charge was dismissed by a Las Vegas judge on Friday.
Back in July, the funny oldie attempted to carry an unloaded concealed weapon through Vegas’s McCarran International Airport.
The judge was super forgiving!
It seems like Lewis lied a bunch of times about how the gun got into his bag.
The story that stuck was that the gun was a gift that he’d placed in a carry-on bag more than a year ago.
He stated he ‘forgot’ it was in the bag until he was stopped at the airport’s security checkpoint.
Jerry’s lawyer calls the swift resolution “a good result for great guy.”
If a regular person made the ‘mistake’ Jerry made and lied like he did, we’re sure they wouldn’t have received Jerry’s light slap on the wrist.
It pays to be famous (and rich)!
