Back in August the Dalai Lama was admitted to an Indian hospital after suffering some abdominal pains.

And, now, the spiritual lama is back in the hospital.

The Dalai Lama has been hospitalized today, again due to abdominal pain, and could undergo surgery as early as tomorrow, Friday.

A senior doctor at New Delhi’s Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, who refused to be identified, confirmed the Dalai Lama has been admitted to the hospital.

The physician stated, “He was admitted when he complained of abdominal pain and now chances are that the Dalai Lama will be operated upon, most probably tomorrow.”

However, his spokesman insists that the Dalai Lama is just undergoing “routine tests.”

The hospital chief Nalini Kaul declined to comment on the spiritual leader’s health or any treatment he would be receiving.

But, it looks like the 73 year-old will stay in the hospital until at least Saturday before returning home.

His spokesman said, “There is nothing to worry about as His Holiness is undergoing routine tests for which he’d to be hospitalised.”

We hope he wouldn’t lie to us about the Dalai Lama’s condition.
