Reports that 50 Cent was uninterested in talking with officials about the fire that engulfed the home his babymomma and son, Marquis, lived in turned out to be a tad bit inaccurate.
Fiddy’s reps issued the following statement exclusively to PerezHilton.com:
“50 and his attorneys met yesterday (Wednesday) with Suffolk County authorities regarding the fire that destroyed 50’s house. The meeting had been arranged weeks ago. 50 is eager to review the findings of the investigation, when it is concluded.”
We’re eager to review the findings too!

Why is 50 Cent acting kinda shady?
According to a new report, the rapper has still not talked to arson investigators about the massive Might fire that engulfed the fancy Long Island home he and his problematic babymomma, Shaniqua Tompkins, had been fighting over.
When contacted, Fifty’s lawyer would would not comment on the fire investigation and when asked if any other Fiddy reps could provide a statement he stated, “No one will be speaking about that.”
Recall y’all that at the time of the fire, Fifty was in Louisiana filming a motion picture and his publicist released a statement saying he “expressed deep concern over this fire at his property. He is extremely thankful that everyone including his son, Marquise, escaped the burning house safely. He’s confident that authorities will be conducting a thorough investigation of the incident and is eager to review their findings.”
However, the new report goes on to say that a fire official stated investigators have not been able to conclude the investigation partly because the Fifty has not met with the arson squad. Attempts have been made through the star’s attorneys to meet with him, but that he has not scheduled an interview.
Another source stated he was told Fiddy’s unavailability is holding up the case, even though the source did not know why the Vitamin Water pitchman has been unavailable. There is no deadline requiring 50 to meet with investigators.
It was noted that throughout the month of July, Fifty was spotted at a number of NYC social events.
If he was in NY why couldn’t he find time to speak to the fire squad to wrap things up?!????
The District Attorney’s Office that represents the town in which Fifty’s house once stood is now reportedly working with the arson investigation squad. A Long Island fire chief told the reporter that this development came in mid-August but that the case still hasn’t been solved: “I think they’re on to something, but they can’t make an arrest without something tangible.”
Neither the DA’s office nor the arson squad has indicated that they have a suspect or are close to making an arrest.
It also looks like Fifty and the babymomma have found something new to fight about. Their reps were recently in court battling over the burned down home’s insurance proceeds. A judge is expected to make some decisions regarding insurance monies on September 4th.
Fifty’s drama is never ending!

So, who’s got the biggest dick???
According to Forbes….
In the last year alone, Jay-Z released a platinum album and signed a $150 million deal with concert promoter Live Nation for a 10 year contract.
But 50 Cent is laughing all the way to the bank!
After taxes, 50 Cent took in over $100 million when his stake in the high-calorie VitaminWater was bought by Coca-Cola.
In total, he made over $150 million in just 12 months. That’s almost double what Jay-Z made last year.
Guess it helps that 50 is also involved with G-Unit clothing, video games, and films!
And, rappers today are starting to diversify more than ever before. It’s not just about the music. It’s about the music, the movies, clothing lines, endorsement deals. Etc. Etc.
Whatever gets them rich quicker!
After Jay-Z, coming in third on the top of the richest hip-hop artists for 2008 is Diddy - coming in third again for the second year in a row.
Diddy brought in $35 million from all his revenue streams, like his clothing line, record label, reality shows, and the vodka he doesn’t like to promote, Ciroc.
And coming in fourth on the list is Kanye West who made $30 million.
Even the rappers who haven’t worked in years are making millions just living off their royalties.
Like Dr. Dre who make $15 million last year. Even Tupac brought in about $15 million and he’s been dead for over 10 years.
We need to drop our rap album ASAP!

He may have a face like an ass, but….
Michael Phelps is arguably the greatest Olympian of all time!
And, with his record-breaking 8 gold medal wins in Beijing, the U.S. swimmer is the hottest thing on the planet - at least for the next for weeks. Then we’ll probably forget about him until four years from now, at the London games.
Phelps is on the cover of the latest issue of Sports Illustrated.
He sure looks….happy!

Finally, some good news for 50 Cent.
The rapper hasn’t been able to see his son, Marquise, ever since his house burned down where his ex was living at the time.
This was back in May.
Since then, Fiddy’s accused his babymomma of kidnapping their son and he hasn’t been able to see his kid for almost three months!
Fiddy finally saw him on Sunday. The rapper picked up up his son and supposedly the interaction between him and his ex went off “without a hitch.”
As for Fiddy, he’ll be able to spend some quality time with his son at his home in Connecticut until the middle of next week. That’s when he has to leave the country to film a movie.
Talk about bad timing!
Things are likely to get ugly again, though, in September when Fiddy and his ex are due in court to settle a restraining order.
Let’s hope he gets to see his kid when he returns.

Rapper 50 Cent recently opened up to Sister 2 Sister magazine about his ongoing feud with babymomma Shaniqua Tompkins.
He told the mag that the war broke out when he insisted on finding his son, Marquise, a better home and improving his education.
Fiddy says, “It wasn’t important before the beginning of last year because he was being home schooled… I was paying a teacher $60,000 just to teach him by himself. He was learning slower because it was just him and the teacher. So he needed to go to where he had the best possible schooling district and I found a house in the area that was, like, $1.5 million.”
That $60K teacher sounds like a piece of crap.
For that kind of money, we would expect an Einstein child!
But, the multi-platinum seller claims Tompkins started receiving bad advice from friends, insisting on more child support to match her “new situation”.
Eww. Greeeedy!
Things escalated and Fiddy ended up winning a court order to evict Tompkins from the home he’d bought for her. Fiddy went on to say, “Her lawyer decided to present to the public that 50 Cent is kicking his son out of the house.”
Tompkins has supposedly fled with the rapper’s son and continues to battle him for custody and child support.
He adds, “Now they done kidnapped my first one (son). My son’s mother got him, holding him hostage.”
We think the babymomma is shameful!
We smell an opportunist using a kid to milk a rich man out of money.

50 Cent filed a lawsuit against Taco Bell on Wednesday.
What’s the beef?
The rapper claims the fast food chain made him the star of its hip-hop themed ad campaign without his permission and (more importantly) without paying him a fee.
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, accuses the Mexican-style fast food chain of “diluting the value of his good name” and employing a guerrilla advertising campaign to fool consumers into thinking he had endorsed the chain, said the lawsuit, filed in Manhattan federal court.
“Without seeking or obtaining Jackson’s authorization, defendant Taco Bell made him the star and focus of its nation-wide advertising campaign by using his name, persona and trademark to promote Taco Bell’s business and products,” court papers said.
The lawsuit accuses the chain of disseminating a letter, addressed to 50 Cent, that encourages the rapper to change his name to “79 Cent,” “89 Cent” or “99 Cent,” the lawsuit said.
The letter was designed to promote the company’s “79-89-99 Cent Why Pay More” campaign, while avoiding the multimillion dollar fee the rapper might have charged to use his name, the lawsuit said.
The letter was eventually sent to the rapper, but only after it had been circulated to reporters, the lawsuit said.
WTF????
He’s mad at Taco Bell for sending a letter????
We’re not a lawyer, but….
What they did was a publicity stunt, sweetie.
His lawsuit seems to be trying to squash Taco’s freedom of speech…and publicity stunting!
What do U think about the situation????

Finally, 50 Cent wins against his crazy baby momma, Shaniqua.
The derranged ex, who blames 50 for her house burning down, was keeping his son, Marquise, away from him.
But now, a Long Island judge has allowed 50 an unrestricted visit with his son from August 3rd through the 12th.
Both parents had to take drug test before the judge would even think about visitations, though.
50 tested clean, but his ex tested positive for “cough medicines.”
Riiiiight.
Sy-sy-syrup!
Shaniqua also claims that 50 is keeping her from using her Land Rover SUV (which we’re certain he purchased) by keeping guards at the site of the home that was burned last month.
Of course, 50 denies that.
The case will continue on September 15.
At least he gets to see his kid.

Poor 50 Cent.
Looks like all the drama with his ex, Shaniqua, who is keeping his child away from him, is really starting to get to him.
The rapper is currently going through what he describes as the “toughest” thing he’s ever encountered. He’s being kept from seeing his 11 year-old son, Marquis.
Fifty says, “I’m not going through a custody battle; just a transition. I’d like to be able to just see my baby.”
And with his son currently about to go on break from school for the summer, 50 had hoped to take him on the road with him, like he’s done in the past.
The grieving father says, “In the summertime, for the first two years I was successful, my son has traveled with us on those tours. He was on the Rock the Mic Tour, he was on the Anger Management Tour. This summer, when he’s free, it’s, like, no communication. It’s tough.”
And while his crazy ex keeps making accusations that 50 Cent was probably behind the fire of her house, even though he was on set filming, things just keep getting worse.
She even stated that 50 “said that he was going to have someone come kill me, and see what he does? This is what he did.”
Let’s hope his lawyers go after her big time. Maybe then he can get back some of the money he’s wasted on her.
As for the whole situation with his son, 50 is not feeling too open to discuss it.
He says, “I really don’t wanna talk about it, because my son at some point will have the opportunity to see the tapes. She’s still his mother, and I’m still his father, regardless. He’s gonna love both of us.”
That was very well said. Looks like someone hired a good PR rep.
Fifty adds, “My relationship with my son is changing because he and his mom aren’t friends anymore. There’s different channels I have to go through. He has lawyers appointed to him through the court. So I have to talk to his lawyer to get things situated for me to actually get him. The relationship between my wallet and his mom has changed. When people have expensive habits, it’s a hell of a transition for them when that money is not there anymore. She said all kind of things about me I never would expect.”
Hah, and you’re surprised why?
Let’s hope he gets to see his child soon at least.

50 Cent is acting, y’all.
Here he is - in “character” - on the set of Streets of Blood with Val Kilmer.
No, it’s not a remake of Miami Vice!
A police officer’s partner has died during Hurricane Katrina, but he later discovers that his partner may have been murdered. An investigation follows, taking the officer and his new partner into the depths of the criminal underworld.
You know, we actually like Fiddy’s look in the film.
He looks….hot!
It’s a good thing that he covered up all his bulging muscles. We don’t like ‘em big and bulky. We prefer lean and sexy!

More babymomma drama!
50 Cent got some good and bad ” target=”_blank”>news today, Friday.
The good news is that he’s going to be seeing his son, Marquise, again!
But, the bad news is that a judge has granted baby momma Shaniqua Tompkins a temporary restraining order against Fiddy, which will require him to forfeit any guns and other firearms. Also, any pickup and drop off of the youngin’ must be done “at curbside.”
The rapper isn’t allowed to be on the same premises as Shaniqua, who has made claims that 50 burned down the house he was trying to evict her out of.
Shaniqua’s lawyer will reportedly argue for a permanent restraining order against Fifty next month.
50 is working on a defamation suit against the babymomma.
Mr. Cent, the ball is in your court!

Shaniqua Tompkins, baby momma of Fifty Cent’s kid - 11-year old Marquise, has declared numerous times that 50 was behind the fire that destroyed the Long Island home she and the rapper’s little boy were living in.
Well, looks like Fiddy’s sick of Shaniqua spreading ‘falsehoods’ and has called in the lawyers.
According to reports, the beverage/music/film mogul’s people are drafting a defamation complaint against Tompkins.
One of rapper’s lawyers said, “Besides hurting his reputation, they have a damaging impact on their son.”
To top it all off, Tompkins has refused to let Fiddy see Marquise or tell him where she’s living post-fire.
Team Fiddy filed papers with a NY state family court earlier this week claiming Tompkins’ behavior is a “willful violation” of their custody agreement and is asking for a court order to put him back in touch with his boy.
So sad when parents use their kids as a pawn.
The Fiddy baby momma drama is never ending!

We’re wearing our bullet-proof vest, in case he wants to come after us!
According to In Touch Weekly, rapper turned thespian 50 cent gifted Val Kilmer with a $100,000 car on the set of their movie Streets of Blood.
Val and Fiddy play cops in the flick.
The two bonded on set over their shared love of vintage autos.
The $100K car is a 1965 Chevy Impala from Fiddy’s personal fleet of autos.
“Val was shocked,” says the rappers producing partner, Randall Emmett. “50 is an amazing guy and incredibly generous.”
He’s a giver!

The Long Island home central to the ongoing feud between Fifty Cent and his baby momma, Shaniqua Tompkins, was destroyed by fire early Friday morning.
The home was essentially burned to the ground!
The arson squad’s been called in as the town’s fire chief deemed the blaze highly suspicious.
Six people, including Fiddy babymomma Shaniqua and his son Marquis, were taken to a hospital after suffering smoke inhalation and later released.
A passing off-duty police officer reportedly helped rescue the six people off an elevated deck in the home’s backyard.
Fiddy was on location filming a movie in Louisiana when the fire broke out.
His mouthpiece issued the following statement,”He is extremely thankful that everyone including his son, Marquise, escaped the burning house safely. He is confident that authorities will be conducting a thorough investigation of the incident and is eager to review their findings.”
What drama!
Can’t wait to find out who’s to blame for the madness!
