In case you didn’t know, Full House’s Uncle Joey, comedian Dave Coulier was the inspiration for Alanis Morissette’s legendary breakthrough song, You Oughta Know.
Now,he’s finally talking about it!
In a new interview, Coulier reveals where he was when he first heard the song and how he eventually patched things up with his ‘angry’ ex:
Coulier was driving when he first heard it. “I said, ‘Wow, this girl is angry.’ And then I stated, ‘Oh man, I think it’s Alanis.’ . . . I listened to the song over and over again, and I said, ‘I think I have really hurt this person.’ I tried to contact her and I finally got a hold of her. And at the same time, the press was calling and saying, ‘You want to comment on this song?’ I called her and I stated, ‘Hi. Uh, what do you want me to say?’ And she said, ‘You can say whatever you want.’ We saw each other and hung out for an entire day. And it was beautiful. It was one of those things where it was kind of like, ‘We’re good.’ ”
We never would have pegged Uncle Joey as such a heartbreaker!

She has never talked about it before….
Until now!
Alanis Morissette caused an Internet sensation when she decided to do a stripped-down, piano-only version of the Black Eyed Peas‘ My Humps.
And, she even made a hilarious video for it, which has now been seen on YouTube by almost 15 million people.
When the song and video first hit the Net, Alanis was hounded for interviews about it but she refused to discuss it.
She wanted to let it speak for itself and let us interpret it as we may.
Well, Miz Morissette is finally shedding some light into what lead her to make her lovely lady lumps homage.
The Canadian singer explains to the new issue of The Advocate:
There are 15 different interpretations, and they’re all true. Some of it is me not being precious at all. I was in the studio with Guy Sigsworth and he would say, “What horse from the apocalypse are you bringing in today, Alanis?” Because every song was this tsunami of emotions. So I said, “I wish I could just write a really simple song—a song like ‘My Humps.’ ” Then we had a pregnant pause, looked at each other, and said, “All right, let’s do it!” Within moments we were recording the piano version of it, and within a week we were shooting the video in my garage here at my house. However it’s been interpreted has been entertaining for me to watch.
And there you have it.
Finally!
