Ashlee Simpson is not letting her pregnancy get in the way of working on her fitness!

The sperminated singer, whose new CD has tanked, attended a one and a half hour prenatal yoga class in the Valley on Monday.

She then stopped by Gelson’s supermaket in Studio City to pick up some items for the hubby, Pete Wentz.

Have fun at the prenatal yoga, but also relax and take it easy, Ass.

Back when news of Ashlee Wentz’s pregnancy first broke, the Simpson camp - being the media pros that they are - remained mum about the baby chatter.

Pete Wentz, on the other hand, went so far as to DENY that Ass was pregnant.

Now, he explains to MTV News why he was dishonest with his fans and the media.

Says the dad-to-be:

“Every woman, no matter who they are or what they do for a living, has the right to wait at least 3 months before sharing this very personal news,” he wrote. “We wanted to wait until after the first trimester and get a clean bill of health from our doctors before confirming anything, just like any other couple.

Being a boy I have no idea how to respond to such things and my first instinct was to protect her and the baby.

It’s insane that you can’t let happy news brew in Hollywood. This wasn’t about press or anything. It was about the health of the baby and trying to find a way to be happy with what should be the most happy time of our lives in the middle of a press blitz. I apologize to anyone who felt misinformed but the truth is, the person and growing baby is who I felt most loyal to protect and defend.”

While her new CD continues to bomb in record sales…

Asslee Wentz has just cancelled FOUR shows on her upcoming summer tour.

While there has yet to be an official explanation given for the cancellation, sources tell us it is due to poor ticket sales.

And, we’re hearing that Ass’ entire tour may be cancelled and that the Simpson camp (Poppa Joe) will claim that his newly married daughter is gonna take it easy this summer as that is what’s best for her baby.

The list of cancelled shows (as of today) include:

“06/09 House of Blues - Chicago, IL
06/24 The Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza - New York, NY
06/27 Cape Cod Medley Tent - Hyannis, MA

It was the worst kept secret in Hollywood!

Pete Wentz and Asslee Simpson-Wentz are having a child together and the pair have finally spoken out about it.

The newlyweds released a statement Wednesday night announcing the happy baby news.

They say:

“While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.

As we had mentioned in March, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz was set to premiere a new collection of tops ‘designed’ by her to be sold exclusively at Wet Seal.

The launch date was April 22nd, and now just a bit over a month later, the collection is already doing poorly.

So bad that they’re practically giving it away for free!!!

The line started out with about a dozen different shirts. They were originally marked at $19.50.

Now, they are being sold on West Seal’s website for just $4.99.

Cheaper than buying a latte!

Poor Asslee.

Even though her clothing line didn’t go well, at least she has her new husband and baby on the way.

Let’s hope she doesn’t start to make baby clothes now!

Even though she got knocked up before tying the knot, Ashlee Simpson claims to be a traditionalist.

She has revealed that she’s changing her name to Ashlee Wentz in honor of her husband, rocker Pete Wentz. However, professionally, she’ll go by the hyphenated version, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.

In ‘honor’ of her husband?

How honorable! Ha!

Ass said, “I think that that’s something that a woman should do when they’re marrying a man. It’s a tradition that I think is a great tradition.”

According to Pete, the name change decision was solely Ass’, “These decisions with Ashlee and her name are all completely up to Ashlee. I want her to do these kinds of things the way she wants to do them.”

At least their child won’t be a bastard anymore.

Earlier this week, we mentioned that Petez Wentz said he and Asslee Simpson weren’t taking a honeymoon.

Wentz said on Tuesday, “This [reported] baby has not been confirmed. The only thing I’m confirming now is that we’re in the basement on our honeymoon with these blow-up palm trees.”

Turns out someone was fibbing!!!

Pete and the new Ashlee Went were indeed honeymooning this week - in the Caribbean. Turks and Caicos to be exact!

And, what’s ESPECIALLY INTERESTING is that the photos of the two frolicking on the beach and enjoying married life didn’t pop up until AFTER they had left.

They were sooo in on it!

Poppa Joe probably arranged it with the photo agency, that got exclusive pics, so that Ass and Pete would get a cut of the profits from the sale.

Hey, they pimped out the wedding, you’d only expect them to pimp out the honeymoon too!

The newlyweds kept their honeymoon short as they had to board a plane to New York City.

The two are in town since Pete’s band, Fall Out Boy, are expected to perform at a young girls Sweet 16 party.

Pete Wentz called in to Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Tuesday morning and revealed some details about his wedding to Ashlee Simpson.

People magazine is gonna be pissed!

- Pete said that he and Ashlee did sign a pre-nup.

- He revealed that the couple are still in Los Angeles. “We are in the basement on our honeymoon. With blow-up palm trees.”

- Legally, Ashlee is a Wentz, but she will be keeping Simpson professionally.

- He refused to confirm her pregnancy.

A wedding guest at the Simpson/Wentz nups ” target=”_blank”>claims that Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo barely interacted all night!

The guest revealed, “Jessica did not look happy the entire night. She just wasn’t her bubbly self. She was very subdued, and she and Tony barely interacted the entire night, except for some dancing at the end.“

For the record, Jessica Simpson’s rep has called the breakup talk surrounding Jess and Tony Romo “not true.”

Uh huh!

To prove this point to the world, Poppa Joe Simpson a family insider reveals to People magazine, who paid over $1 million for Asslee’s wedding pics, that Jess and Romo were super loved-up this weekend!

Once again, uh huh!

Tony and Yoko Romo were spotted together Friday on a sushi run in L.A., and later he was by her side again during her sister’s wedding rehearsal dinner, which Jess hosted at her LA home.

The ’source close to the couple’ reported, “They were very cozy and cute together. She’s definitely not mourning John Mayer! She was in an amazing mood and so happy her sister was getting married.”

That Poppa Joe is so eloquent!

The ’source’ goes on to say that at the Asslee/Pete Wentz nups, “They (Jess and Romo) were kissing and holding hands throughout the night. He was very sweet to her. They were very much a couple.”

Sister Jessica was Ash’s maid of honor.

Jessica was reportedly accompanied by her ‘boyfriend’ Tony Romo.

Pete’s English bulldog, Hemingway, was the ring-bearer.

Ash wore an ivory lace wedding gown by Monique Lhuillier accessorized with a diamond necklace and earrings by Neil Lane.

The theme of the wedding was Alice in Wonderland. The wedding cake featured a top hat, tea pot, stop watch and a pot of flowers on top.

There were 150 guests including Nicole Richie and Joel Madden.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are enjoying their last few days before marriage.

Yesterday was Ashlee’s “bachelorette,” party which was held at popa Joe’s and mom Tina’s house in Encino.

Tents were spotted being placed on the property earlier in the day with balloons all over the place, in anticipation of this weekend’s wedding.

Ass’ party was fairly small, with only about a dozen or so of Simpson’s friends there, but also in attendance was sister and former Tony Romo girlfriend, Jessica.

The party lasted just a few hours, ending before midnight.
