Reports surfaced on Friday that there’s been ‘war’ amongst Oprah Winfrey’s producers about whether or not to have Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin on her popular speak show.

Super O issued the following statement to counter those claims:

“At the beginning of this presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate (Obama), I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show.”

Presidential hopeful John McCain is beating out Barack Obama in popularity.

McCain’s acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention actually received more television viewers than Obama did last week at the Democratic party’s event.

According to preliminary data from the Nielsen Media Research, McCain’s speech on Thursday ended the night with a 4.8 rating/7 share, as opposed to Obama’s 4.3 /7 average.

We wonder if once all the data comes in, if the numbers will change, but as of right now it seems more people are tuning in to watch McCain.

And according to reports, McCain’s speech pulled in over 26% more viewer’s than Obama’s did.

A record 38.9 million U.S. TV viewers watched John McCain accept the Republican nomination for president on Thursday, slightly more than the 38.3 million people who tuned in for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s speech, Nielsen Media Research reported.

Disgraced former presidential candidate, douchebag supremo John Edwards, just announced that he’s canceling all public appearances until after the November election because he doesn’t want to be “a distraction.”

Through his booking bureau, the Democrat issued this statement:

“Nothing is more important than electing Barack Obama and Joe Biden. I don’t want my appearance at these events to be a distraction from the important issues of the election, or from the important purpose of these meetings.”

Johnny E. must be so relieved that the heat’s off him for the moment.

Boo hoo!

Last Thursday, Barack Obama slammed John McCain big time in his acceptance speech by saying he “doesn’t know” about the lives of middle-class Americans.

John McCain’s super rich beer heiress wife Cindyresponded by saying, “I’m offended by Barack Obama saying that about my husband,” and when asked if Barack went too far in his criticism of Johnny boy, the beer baroness said, “I do. I do. I really do.”

You know what we find ‘offensive’?

Cindy’s propensity to lie!

In addition to lying about her recipes and her sister, looks like she also likes to lie about the circumstances that surrounded the adoption of her daughter from Bangladesh.

Cindy and her people changed the story just in time for the presidential campaign.

How convenient!

Apparently, she’s been telling people that Mother Teresa herself urged her to adopt during a trip to Bangladesh.

Turns out Stepford McCain never met or even spoke with Mother Teresa on that trip.

How’s that for offensive?!

So, what does Team Barack think about John McCain’s choice of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his Vice Presidential running mate.

Well, Obama’s spokesperson, Bill Burton, says:

“Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency,” Obama spokesman Bill Burton said in a statement.

Burton also criticized Palin as a vice presidential pick for her support of oil drilling in the Alaskan wilderness and her anti-abortion stance, referring to the 1973 Supreme Court decision that made abortion legal in the United States.

“Governor Palin shares John McCain’s commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade, the agenda of Big Oil and continuing George Bush’s failed economic policies. That’s not the change we need, it’s just more of the same,” he said.

So, that’s what they say.

You’d think if you were running for President that you would have the support of your entire family.

That doesn’t seem to be the case with John McCain’s sister-in-law.

The half-sister of McCain’s wife, Cindy McCain, is speaking out about the Presidential hopeful and her support of Barack Obama!

The sis, Kathleen Hensley Portalski, says “I’m not voting for McCain. I have a different political standpoint.”

She adds, “I’m voting for Obama. I think his proposals to improve the country are more positive and I’m not a big war believer.”

Hensley went on to say in a different interview that she felt “like a non-person” after her half-sister, Cindypoo, described herself as an only child.

Looks like someone is out to get back at their sis.

She doesn’t have mean remarks to say about Cindy, instead she says “She’d kinda cool, standoffish.”

But as far as any reconciling attempts with Cindy, Hensley adds “She never has, and I doubt that she ever will,” try to reconcile.

Hensley’s son is also voting for Obama, stating “I wouldn’t vote for John McCain if he was a Democrat. I would not vote at all before I’d vote for him. I question whether Cindy is someone I’d want to see in the White House as first lady.”

As we mentioned yesterday, Presidential hopeful John McCain has an endorsement from Puerto Rican Reggaeton musician Daddy Yankee.

Though we’ve since come to find out that the McCain lover had originally offered to endorse and perform for Barack Obama.

Now, Daddy Yankee’s rep is denying the reports of any initial Obama support.

Mayna Nevarez states that the story “is absolutely false. Our camp never approached the Obama camp. The Obama and Clinton camps were calling our office before the Puerto Rican primary, trying to get Yankee to endorse them. The McCain camp approached us, as well.”

We find it hard to believe that Obama’s people would want to be associated with Daddy Yankee!

Nevarez adds, “Yankee considered all the proposals and he liked McCain’s. That’s why he decided to endorse him. There was never an offer to endorse Obama. That never happened.”

Presidential hopeful Barack Obama is trying to keep things entertaining.

Performing this Thursday night at Obama’s acceptance speech (at the big ol’ stadium in Denver_ will be Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi!

Bon Jovi is said to perform two acoustic songs before Obama gives his speech.

The night will then be closed Springsteen.

The Boss is presumed to do a solo acoustic performance that night.

Let’s hope it’s true.
