When contacted about Star Jones‘ statement that Barbara Walters ‘reduced herself’ to sell books, Babs’ rep responded:

“I will not dignify this with a comment. Barbara’s written words say it all!”

Star Jones is fuming!

The former fattie is sooo pissed that Barbara Walters blabbed about her gastric bypass in the autobiography she released this week.

Star rants to UsWeekly, saying, “It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters, in the sunset of her life, is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book. It speaks to her true character.”

Ouch!

If Barbara were to respond, we’re sure she’d just say something along the lines of, “The truth hurts, bitch. Deal with it!”

Barbara Walters tells Oprah Winfrey - in an episode scheduled to air on Tuesday - that she was ho’ing around with a married US Senator for several years in the 70’s.

Scandalicious!!!!

Babs’ lover was Senator Edward Brooke, a moderate Republican from Massachusetts who took office in 1967. Brooke was the first African-American to be popularly elected to the Senate.

Ewww!!!

She was dating….a REPUBLICAN??? Ha!

Both Brooke and Walters knew that public knowledge of their affair could have ruined his career as well as hers, Walters says.

Babs stated she was ‘infatuated’ by Brooke: “He was exciting. He was brilliant. It was exciting times in Washington.”

Her affair with the senator, which is just now ‘going public’, had ended before he lost his bid for a third term in 1978.

Brooke didn’t return calls for comment.

Who knew Babs had that side to her?!

Barbara Walters announced on The View Monday morning that Sam Lufti contacted her and said that Britney is now in treatment with a shrink and that whatever she has is treatable.

He said she has been having lots of mood swings (duh) and was having major probs sleeping.

You must watch this vintage interview of Judy Garland from 1967 done by none other than Barbara Walters. They talk about the media, being hounded, the paparazzi, drugs and the cult of celebrity. It draws so many parallels to Brit Brit!

Judy was high as a kite during the interview. She died about a year after.

Holy shit!

Barbara Walters is usually very politically correct about everyone and everything. However, this morning on The View she ripped Heather Mills‘ last remaining leg off.

The TV legend was vicious (as vicious as she could be) in her attack on Heather, calling her impossible and just all-around unpleasant.
