Jessica Simpson was being interviewed by a Nashville radio station yesterday and the Proactiv spokesperson was asked about Carrie Underwood’s assertion to Allure magazine that Tony Romo (her ex and Simpson’s current beau) still calls her.
Well, Jessica found Carrie’s remarks laughable.
“Tony and I both laughed at that,” says Simpson. “We got a chuckle out of it.”
Jessica DEFINITELY knows Carrie is lying.
Why? How????

Yesterday, we told you how Chace Crawford and Carrie Underwood recently broke up….VIA TEXT MESSAGE!
Well, it seems Chace isn’t letting his split stop him for picking up chicks.
He’s too pretty to sit around at home moping, especially if he was the douche doing the dumping!
Chace is currently shooting Gossip Girl with new cast member, Michelle Trachtenberg.
Turns out, people are spotting the two of them allegedly getting quite “cozy” - with reports of the two constantly flirting.
Friends of Trachtenberg tell us these reports are false and that she’s happily dating someone else.
Good thing! We’d hate for her if things didn’t work out to get dumped….via text!

Idol beauty Carrie Underwood revealed to TV’s Extra that her break up with Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford was done via text.
Underwood admitted, “It was completely mutual…We’re both fine…We broke up over text so…It’s like ‘peace out. It just didn’t work…And we both knew it didn’t work and no hard feelings at all whatsoever.”
First of all…. How cold and impersonal!!!!
Secondly, Did she dump HIM via text or did he dump herrrrrR????
Also, why would Carrie ever reveal this publicly??????

Jessica Simpson is trying real hard to be all Carrie Underwood and shiz!
Go back to blonde…check. Date Tony Romo…check. Get country…in progress.
Country music is one of the few thriving genres in America, and Jessica Simpson, whose last CD bombed, wants a piece of that!
According to new reports, Jess’ daddy/manager, Joe Simpson, proclaims that the ’singer’ is close to completing her first country album and is looking at doing a reality show on CMT.
Jess probably hopes the CMT show will have a ‘Newlywed effect’ on her career…i.e. give her a career again.
The elder Simpson recruited some big names to work on her country album. She duets with Dolly Parton on one track and is joined on another by Willie Nelson.
John Shanks, who’s worked with Sheryl Crow and Kelly Clarkson, and Brett James (Carrie Underwood) are producing.
Could be interesting.
We actually think the reality show idea would be good for Jessica. Coming full circle.
Would U watch it?

They’re really into it!
Country music darlings Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler and Taylor Swift cheer on the Nashville Predators as they defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday at Sommet Center in Nashville.
We’re amazed Kellie even knows how to watch the game and understand the rules!
Isn’t hockey something they play in Eastern Ueorop?

This is truly amazing!
Almost two months since it’s release, Josh Groban’s new album, the Christmas collection Noel, is topping the charts in America.
The record moved 405,041 copies in the last seven days, according to the new Soudscan charts. That’s almost DOUBLE the amount he sold in the previous week!
Why the huge jump?
Groban appeared on Oprah’s “Favorite Things” show last Tuesday.
Magic!
Groban’s album has already been certified platinum. Good going!
Also crazy this week, Disney’s High School Musical 2 soundtrack has jumped back into the Top Ten.
Blame Tina!
Four months after its release, the High School Musical 2 soundtrack is #6 this week, selling 182,962 copies - bringing its total album sales to 2.3 million!
Alicia Keys’s latest CD continues to move massive amounts. Her As I Am sold 348,548 copies this past week.
American Idol alum Jordin Sparks managed to sell 119,119 copies in her debut week. Unfortunately, that was only good enough for a tenth place finish! That’s the lowest first week sales of any Idol winner ever.
Fellow Idol champ Carrie Underwood, continues to do very well. Her latest, Carnival Ride, in its 5th week is outperforming Sparks.
Carrie moved an additional 141,406 copies this week. Her album has already gone platinum.

Despite his cheating ways, Carrie Underwood is giving Gossip Girl hottie Chace Crawford another chance.
The pair met up in NYC on Sunday night. It was their first date in a couple of weeks.
The couple walked with Underwood’s dog and seemed very affectionate towards each other.
Don’t mess with Carrie!

She may be the reigning queen of the charts, but Carrie Underwood is unlucky in love!
The always reliable People magazine is reporting in their new issue that the country sweetheart’s new boyfriend, Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford, was seen getting frisky with a blonde other than Carrie at a party in NYC this week.
Chace was spotted with 30 Rock slut Katrina Bowden at the Angel Ball on October 29th. The pair got freaky with it at the after-party.
“Crawford was spotted dancing with his arms wrapped around her,” reports the mag.
A source tells People, “He’s been texting [Katrina]. He told her that he’s not dating Carrie.”
A Crawford pall says that it was the 30 Rock actress who initiated the flirting. “Katrina’s been obsessing about Chace ever since she saw him shooting Gossip Girl [which films near 30 Rock.”
Carrie better whip out her bat from the Before He Cheats video.
Chace has got some ’splaining to do!

Carrie Underwood’s new CD has done even better than we predicted!
Carnival Ride is the #1 album in the U.S., having sold a staggering 527,000 copies during its debut week.
This is the American Idol winner’s first #1 album.
Her new disc also bests her previous effort, 2005’s Some Hearts, which debuted to 315,000 in its first week.
The total is also the best sales week for a female country artist since Shania Twain’s Greatest Hits started with 530,000 in November of 2004.
This was a good week for country music! In a first for the Billboard 200, three country debuts occupy the Nos. 1-3 slots on the chart, led by Underwood’s Carnival Ride.
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss‘ Raising Sand opens at #2, selling 112,000.
Country singer Gary Allan’s Living Hard enters at #3 with 69,000 copies.
Underwood’s debut of 530,000 copies is DOUBLE what Kelly Clarkson’s latest CD, My December, sold in its first week.
Congrats Carrie!

Carrie Underwood’s sophomore CD was released on Tuesday of this week.
Based on first day sales and projections, she is headed for a #1 debut and could sell up to 450,000 in week one, PerezHilton.com has learned.
Wow! Talk about hitting a home run!
By comparison, Kelly Clarkson’s latest CD, My December, sold 291,000 copies in its first week and then took a nosedive.
Underwood’s radio-friendly disk is expected to “have legs,” as they say in the music industry for albums with longevity.
Congrats!
