It’s a new year and they’re going on their second year together as a couple!

But, it takes work.

Mr. & Mrs. Perfect still have “date night” and alone time together away from the kids.

On Sunday night, Witherspoon and GyllenHO attended the Lakers match in Los Angeles. And they even held hands throughout the game! Awwwwww.

Is a wedding in the works for these two in ‘09????

As we mentioned earlier this week, Viacom, the media company that owns Comedy Central, MTV and Nickelodeon, among many other channels, and Time Warner Cable have been unable to resolve a business agreement and is threatening removing Viacom channel services to subscribers. Which means that Time Warner customers may not be able to watch some of their favorite shows.

But, thankfully, it looks like Time Warner has caved in.

Just before the midnight deadline a deal was finally reached.

This means all 19 cable networks owned by Viacom will stay on Time Warner’s lineup.

And that’s good news cuz more than 13 million subscribers would have been affected. And we know people can’t get enough of The Hills. Oh, wait. They CAN! Ratings are down!

Viacom was originally demanding a fee increase of about 25 cents per subscriber per month for its channels. Time Warner said it wouldn’t pay more claiming they’d have to charge the cost to their customers.

At the moment, the final details of the contract haven’t been released, but don’t be surprised if you see a price increase on your bill because of Viacom’s greedy ways.

Jake GyllenHO and his beard better half, Reese Witherspoon ,were spending some time with Jakey’s mom, Naomi, yesterday.

The happy bunch grabbed some coffee while out and about in Los Angeles.

They then headed over to their local farmer’s market to grab some last minute goodies.

Wonder if 2009 will mean marriage for the two?

MTV must be doing some soul searching at the moment.

The cornerstone of its programming, The Hills, and its related spinoffs aren’t doing so well!

We mentioned on Tuesday that The Hills’ season four finale viewership dropped by more than a million from the last season.

And, now, new reports indicate weak premieres for the NYC version of The Hills, the Whitney Port-starring series The City, and Brody Jenner’s reality competition show, Bromance.

When compared to The Hills season four premiere, The City’s numbers look less than impressive.

The Hills 4 premiere scored 3.5 million viewers and The City, 1.6 million, say TV insiders.

Bromance’s number were dismal.

It managed to attract a paltry 963,000 to its premiere.

Lauren Conrad, et al. are definitely on the OUT list for 2009!
