The Palins are soooo the Spears family of Alaska!
Like the Spears, the Palins have a knocked up teenaged daughter.
AND, like the Spears, it looks like the Palins sometimes poo poo the whole notion of child safety seats.
We were shocked to read the following report:
One Friday in June, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin joined the chief of the state prison system on a tour of the Point MacKenzie Correctional Farm, a 90-minute drive north of Anchorage. It was a routine visit but for the presence of the governor’s infant son, Trig.
Palin held her baby in her arms as the warden drove a short distance around the facility, said corrections director Joe Schmidt, who sat next to Palin. A few days later, the governor got a warning from her public safety commissioner that someone had complained that she did not strap Trig into a car seat for the ride. Palin dismissed the complaint as petty, and the commissioner, whom she appointed, took no formal action.
Petty?!?!
Someone’s concern for Palin’s disabled son’s life was dismissed by her as petty?!?
Yikes!

It seems like every hour something new comes out about Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
According to ABC News, Alaska Senator Hollis French is announcing that he’s moving up the release date of his investigation on Palin.
The charges are that she has abused her powers and her office to get Walt Monegan, the Alaska public safety commissioner, fired.
Hollis has also accused the McCain campaign of using stall tactics in order to prevent him from releasing his final report by October 31st, just four days before the November election.
Originally, the results were scheduled to be released on October 31st, however, sources are now claiming that news will come out almost THREE weeks earlier.
Democratic Senator French states, “It’s apt to be damaging to the Governor’s administration.”
Palin claims she’s done nothing wrong and has hired private attorneys to represent her.

As we mentioned earlier this week, The National Enquirer is reporting that potential future VP Sarah Palin has some major skeletons in her closet.
Apparently, she had an affair with her husband’s former business partner - according to the mag.
Slutty habits are hard to get rid of it seems.
So, of course, John McCain’s camp has threatened legal action for the Enquirer meddling.
That was a STUPID move. It just makes her look guilty.
And, not that the Enquirer is the most reliable news source, but…. they were correct when exposing John Edwards and his affair and illegitimate lovechild.
But this next piece of information will surely draw more attention to the Palin scandal.
Turns out that the guy Sarah Palin is accused of having an affair with, has just filed an EMERGENCY motion to have his divorce records sealed!!!!
We LOVES it!
So what does that tell us?
Well, it seems the Enquirer might not be so wrong after all.
Wonder what he’s trying to hide. Wonder if any family members or friends will speak up!
But most of all, we wonder if that poor baby of Bristol Sarah Palin that was born with Down-Syndrome even belongs to her husband or if it’s the child of the business partner???
It’s like watching a soap opera. Such bad acting, but we can’t help watching!
We’re behind the Enquirer on this one. Go find your dirt! Legally of course.

Reports surfaced on Friday that there’s been ‘war’ amongst Oprah Winfrey’s producers about whether or not to have Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin on her popular speak show.
Super O issued the following statement to counter those claims:
“At the beginning of this presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate (Obama), I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show.”
And there you have it.

Presidential hopeful John McCain is beating out Barack Obama in popularity.
McCain’s acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention actually received more television viewers than Obama did last week at the Democratic party’s event.
According to preliminary data from the Nielsen Media Research, McCain’s speech on Thursday ended the night with a 4.8 rating/7 share, as opposed to Obama’s 4.3 /7 average.
We wonder if once all the data comes in, if the numbers will change, but as of right now it seems more people are tuning in to watch McCain.
And according to reports, McCain’s speech pulled in over 26% more viewer’s than Obama’s did.
Do U think McCain is a great speaker? Were you inspired by his words???
Update: It’s confirmed.
Obama got beat by McCain in the TV ratings!
A record 38.9 million U.S. TV viewers watched John McCain accept the Republican nomination for president on Thursday, slightly more than the 38.3 million people who tuned in for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s speech, Nielsen Media Research reported.
Congrats!

Disgraced former presidential candidate, douchebag supremo John Edwards, just announced that he’s canceling all public appearances until after the November election because he doesn’t want to be “a distraction.”
Through his booking bureau, the Democrat issued this statement:
“Nothing is more important than electing Barack Obama and Joe Biden. I don’t want my appearance at these events to be a distraction from the important issues of the election, or from the important purpose of these meetings.”
Johnny E. must be so relieved that the heat’s off him for the moment.
The National Enquirer is distracted for the time being by Sarah Palin’s alleged affair!

The Right’s Dr. Laura plans to vote for John McCain, but she’s not pleased with the choice of Sarah Palin as VP.
The doc took to her blog and slammed Palin by calling her an unsuitable role model:
I’m stunned - couldn’t the Republican Party find one competent female with adult children to run for Vice President with McCain? I realize his advisors probably didn’t want a “mature” woman, as the Democrats keep harping on his age. But really, what kind of role model is a woman whose fifth child was recently born with a serious issue, Down Syndrome, and then goes back to the job of Governor within days of the birth?
Ouch!

In the month of August, the unemployment rate in America jumped to 6.1%.
That’s a five year high.
Woo hoo!

The factually inaccurate and exaggerated speech bashing Barack from the lipstick wearing pit bull delivered at the RNC convention on Wednesday inspired 130,000 donors to give money to the Obama campaign.
To the tune of $8 million in 24 hours!!!!!
Wowsers!
Who would’ve guessed that Sarah Palin would be such a great Obama fundraiser????
An Obama campaign rep stated they were on track to make $10 million by the time John McCain took the stage Thursday night.
Wonder how the fundraising is going for the GOP these days?!

There were a lot of curious Americans!
According to preliminary estimates, Sarah Palin’s speech at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night scored a higher rating than Hillary Clinton and ‘in some cases’ higher than Barack Obama.
Yup, more peeps watched the governor from Alaska than Hills!
The preliminary numbers show about 6 million households were tuned in to see the GOP’s VP candidate speak.
If you missed her address, though, CLICK HERE to check it out!
Be warned: her speech is filled with many many factual inaccuracies.

The Republicans can’t hog all the controversy spotlight!
The Washington Post reports that Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Joe Biden has some drama going on in his family.
His brother, James, and son, Hunter, are being sued by a former business partner named Anthony Lotito Jr. for defrauding him and an investor of millions of dollars in a hedge fund deal that went sour, according to court records.
James and Hunter Biden have counterattacked and say that Lotito defrauded them by misrepresenting his experience in the hedge fund industry and recommending that they hire a lawyer with felony convictions.
The fighting between the Bidens and Lotito has been going on in a NY courtroom since November 2007.
Lotito also alleges that Uncle James persuaded him to add an inexperienced Hunter Biden to the team for politics sake. Hunter, who was working as a D.C. lobbyist, was in need of a career change because the Bidens supposedly thought it would ‘hurt’ Joe Biden’s presidential bid at the time to have a lobbyist son.
In an affidavit, Hunter swore his father had nothing to do with the deal and that it is Lotito who swindled the Bidens.
When contacted for comment, the Obama-Biden campaign referred the Post to the lawyer repping the accused Bidens.
He said:
“This lawsuit has nothing to do with Joe Biden, and there is absolutely no truth to those allegations. It is a business dispute between former partners. The suit is baseless.”
This ‘drama’ is a yawner compared to the crazy shiz going down with the Republican’s Palin!
But it’s still fun.
Dig up more dirt on the Dems too!

No surprise!
Fox News was the first to break the Sarah Palin nomination news, at 10:35 a.m. ET last Friday.
Well after ‘breaking’ the news, the right-leaning cable news net went on to kick the asses of its peers later in the day.
According to Nielsen, Fox News averaged an impressive 3.8 million viewers in the noon ET hour.
It was reportedly the highest ratings of the day, ahead of CNN’s 1.9 million and MSNBC’s 927,000.
We wonder how many of Fox’s viewers were of the Left curious to hear how the Right was taking the Palin thing in.

Sarah Palin is the ultimate trainwreck of late.
She just gives us so much to talk about!!!!
And here’s the latest…
It’s pitbull vs pitbull!
As we all saw in the case of John Edwards, which we followed quite vocally, if theNational Enquirer is on to something they’re like a pitbull that’s bitten into a leg — you can’t shake it off!
And, whether or you liked their tactics or not, the Enquirer DID reveal the truth in the Edwards mistress case, although they’re not always right.
The tabloid has asserted that Alaska’s lipstick wearing pitbull of a governor allegedly had an affair with her snowmobile racing husband’s business partner.
The John McCain camp is, no surprise, not too happy with the Enquirer’s meddling and has threatened legal action.
Suing to to throw the Enquirer off the adulterous trail, Johnny boy?
We can’t wait to see where the rag takes us with this story!

Your fuck-up mayor has just admitted his guilt and reached a deal with prosecutors!

Looks like the lipstick wearing pit bull proved herself to be just like the typical politico types she slammed!
She’s a liar and exaggerator!
The Associated Press closely watched Governor Sarah Palin, the GOP’s VP pick, at last night’s RNC convention and has outlined the many ways she exaggerated and lied.
Right or Left, a lie is a lie. It doesn’t matter where on the political spectrum you are, right?
These are not ‘personal’ digs, mind you.
She’s lying on the ‘professional’ stage, y’all.
Check out Pinocchio Palin’s claims and the truth:
PALIN: “I have protected the taxpayers by vetoing wasteful spending … and championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress. I told the Congress ‘thanks but no thanks’ for that Bridge to Nowhere.”
THE FACTS: As mayor of Wasilla, Palin hired a lobbyist and traveled to Washington annually to support earmarks for the town totaling $27 million. In her two years as governor, Alaska has requested nearly $750 million in special federal spending, by far the largest per-capita request in the nation. While Palin notes she rejected plans to build a $398 million bridge from Ketchikan to an island with 50 residents and an airport, that opposition came only after the plan was ridiculed nationally as a “bridge to nowhere.”
PALIN: “There is much to like and admire about our opponent. But listening to him speak, it’s easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform — not even in the state senate.”
THE FACTS: Compared to McCain and his two decades in the Senate, Obama does have a more meager record. But he has worked with Republicans to pass legislation that expanded efforts to intercept illegal shipments of weapons of mass destruction and to help destroy conventional weapons stockpiles. The legislation became law last year. To demean that accomplishment would be to also demean the work of Republican Sen. Richard Lugar of Indiana, a respected foreign policy voice in the Senate. In Illinois, he was the leader on two big, contentious measures in Illinois: studying racial profiling by police and requiring recordings of interrogations in potential death penalty cases. He also successfully co-sponsored major ethics reform legislation.
PALIN: “The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes, raise payroll taxes, raise investment income taxes, raise the death tax, raise business taxes, and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars.”
THE FACTS: The Tax Policy Center, a think tank run jointly by the Brookings Institution and the Urban Institute, concluded that Obama’s plan would increase after-tax income for middle-income taxpayers by about 5 percent by 2012, or nearly $2,200 annually. McCain’s plan, which cuts taxes across all income levels, would raise after tax-income for middle-income taxpayers by 3 percent, the center concluded.
Obama would provide $80 billion in tax breaks, mainly for poor workers and the elderly, including tripling the Earned Income Tax Credit for minimum-wage workers and higher credits for larger families.
He also would raise income taxes, capital gains and dividend taxes on the wealthiest. He would raise payroll taxes on taxpayers with incomes above $250,000, and he would raise corporate taxes. Small businesses that make more than $250,000 a year would see taxes rise.
The AP report also showed how Palin’s champions have exaggerated the Alaskan governor’s ‘acheivements’:
MCCAIN: “She’s been governor of our largest state, in charge of 20 percent of America’s energy supply … She’s responsible for 20 percent of the nation’s energy supply. I’m entertained by the comparison and I hope we can keep making that comparison that running a political campaign is somehow comparable to being the executive of the largest state in America,” he said in an interview with ABC News’ Charles Gibson.
THE FACTS: McCain’s phrasing exaggerates both claims. Palin is governor of a state that ranks second nationally in crude oil production, but she’s no more “responsible” for that resource than President Bush was when he was governor of Texas, another oil-producing state. In fact, her primary power is the ability to tax oil, which she did in concert with the Alaska Legislature. And where Alaska is the largest state in America, McCain could as easily have called it the 47th largest state — by population.
MCCAIN: “She’s the commander of the Alaska National Guard. … She has been in charge, and she has had national security as one of her primary responsibilities,” he said on ABC.
THE FACTS: While governors are in charge of their state guard units, that authority ends whenever those units are called to actual military service. When guard units are deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, for example, they assume those duties under “federal status,” which means they report to the Defense Department, not their governors. Alaska’s national guard units have a total of about 4,200 personnel, among the smallest of state guard organizations.
FORMER ARKANSAS GOV. MIKE HUCKABEE: Palin “got more votes running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska than Joe Biden got running for president of the United States.”
THE FACTS: A whopper. Palin got 616 votes in the 1996 mayor’s election, and got 909 in her 1999 re-election race, for a total of 1,525. Biden dropped out of the race after the Iowa caucuses, but he still got 76,165 votes in 23 states and the District of Columbia where he was on the ballot during the 2008 presidential primaries.
FORMER MASSACHUSETTS GOV. MITT ROMNEY: “We need change, all right — change from a liberal Washington to a conservative Washington! We have a prescription for every American who wants change in Washington — throw out the big-government liberals, and elect John McCain and Sarah Palin.”
THE FACTS: A Back-to-the-Future moment. George W. Bush, a conservative Republican, has been president for nearly eight years. And until last year, Republicans controlled Congress. Only since January 2007 have Democrats have been in charge of the House and Senate.
We say if the ‘means’ are shady then it must mean the ‘end’ is shady.
No more shade!
