Seriously, what kind of idiots are running NBC?
According to top executives at General Electric, the parent company of NBC Universal, the network somehow managed to fuck things up and lose money on the Olympics!
Even though the Beijing summer games were a great success this year, NBC just didn’t manage to make a profit.
In their third quarter earnings conference call on Friday, GE said NBC generated over $1 billion in revenue from the Olympics but wrote a loss on the event.
How’s that possible????
Of course, they didn’t disclose the amount of the loss.
Sucks for NBC.
Next time - better management!

In case you hadn’t heard….
Top Model regulars Jay Manuel and J. Alexander (Miss J) are about to get their own spinoff show on The CW.
The network has already ordered a pilot of Operation Fabulous - or, as we like to call it, Operation Fagulous!
But the boys don’t want you to think it’s a spinoff, especially Jay Manuel.
Jay is speaking out to get the story straight. And he wants his fans to know a few things. Like the fact that it’s not a straight-up makeover show and that America’s Next Top Model isn’t going anywhere.
Jay says, “A lot of people are wondering if this means J and I are leaving Model. And no way. That is not true. We would never leave the original show.”
Of course not, they’re probably still under contract!
Jay adds, “It is definitely not a spinoff. I can definitely say that. This is a new series that is a separate world from Model and will really help women try to elevate their lives.”
It sounds like a spinoff to us, only less bitchy. What’s the fun in that????
According to Jay, each episode will feature five women from one town who get makeovers and compete until one of them is the winner.
Oh, there’s the bitchiness - thank God!
From there, the winners from each town will then go and compete in a “bigger competition”.
Then, the final winner will get a makeover…..for their hometown.
Sounds a bit like Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
LOVESit!
Jay adds, “We can’t talk about what the prize is, but I can tell you, it is a major prize.”
Will U be watching?

Actress/Producer/Director/Humanitarian/Mom Salma Hayek has signed on for a recurring role on the Emmy winning show 30 Rock.
She’ll be playing Elisa, the love interest of Alec Baldwin’s character Jack Donaghy.
We bet she’ll bring lots of fire to Elisa!
It’ll be fun to see how she plays off Alec and the talented Tina Fey!
New episodes of 30 Rock will start rolling out on October 30th.

Dayum, Taylor!
Are you angling for an Emmy?
On Friday, Little Jenny (Taylor Momsen) suffered an emotional breakdown and bursted into tears after hearing bad news from the queen of all bitches Blair (Leighton Meester) on the NYC set of Gossip Girl.
None of the P.A.s would say why Little Jenny breaks down because it’s a ‘major spoiler’.
Check out that evil that oozes out of Leighton in the pic!
Leighton as Blair has gotta be one of the best TV bitches ever!
What do you think Blair said to Jenny?

Sarah Palin’s people won’t confirm it, but the talk is that the sexy Veep candidate will make an appearance on Saturday Night Live’s October 25th show!
According to reports, the deal is done.
Will it be Sarah and Tina Fey in the same skit?
It has to be!
OMG!
We can’t wait to see what they’ll come up with!

Kudos, boys!
Top Model regularsJ. Alexander (Miss J) and Jay Manuel are close to getting their very own show on the CW!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered a pilot of Operation Fabulous starring the two J’s.
The two will travel the country giving women makeovers. In selected towns, the ‘J’s’ will select five participants and give them Top Model-style overhauls — how to dress, wear their hair and makeup and bring out their confidence.
We know, it sounds like a lot of the stuff that’s out there already, but we’re sure the two guys will give their own show a fun, very special twist!
Who do U think is in desperate need of a makeover from these two????

It was a great movie, but it’s OLD!
Interesting that it’s just coming to TV now.
According to a new report, ABC Family has ordered a pilot of a 10 Things I Hate About You-inspired TV show.
10 Things… came out in 1999 and starred a young Heath Ledger.
The movie’s director will be shooting the pilot.
The series will reportedly focus on sisters Kate and Bianca Stratford.
Wonder if we’ll see Julia Stiles in the show playing teacher or something.
We haven’t heard anything about her in ages!

VH1 has just picked up the second season of Dr. Drew Pinsky’s Celebrity Rehab show. Cuz we all love some good trainwreck TV!
The new season will premiere on Thursday, October 23rd. Again, it’ll consist of eight one-hour episodes. And just like the first time, the second season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew will show the “real-life experiences of celebrity patients undergoing detoxification and treatment at a center in the Los Angeles area.”
Set to appear again this season will be trainwreck Jeff Conaway. Rehab didn’t work the first time around! Second time’s the charm????
Joining him will be Rod Stewart’s son, Sean Stewart and former video vixen Tawny Kitaen.
All three of these messes are reality TV “veterans.”
Also joining is some tranny-looking mess, Amber Smith, along with Steven Adler from Guns n Roses, Rodney King, and American Idol reject Nikki McKibbon.
Gary Busey will also be appearing to lend a helping hand after reportedly not using cocaine for 13 years.
“Reportedly”!
Will U be watching this season?

The family of little known Hairspray actress Nikki Blonksy must be regretting ever taking that vacation to Turks and Caicos earlier this summer.
The 19 year-old reveals in a new interview that she lives “every day in pain” since the airport brawl that took place in July with the family of America’s Next Top Model former contestant Bianca Golden.
Blonsky says she and her father, Carl, are “completely destroyed” by the incident.
Really?????
Maybe her dad should have thought about that before beating up Bianca’s mom!
Nikki says, “The hardest part for me is to see my parents walk around in severe upset and sadness.”
Lesson learned, violence never wins in the end.
Blonsky says things went bad when at the airport the Golden family became upset when people were saving seats in the departure area.
Nikki recalls that when things got ugly she asked Bianca not to point her finger in her face.
Blonsky says, “That’s when she stood up, pulled her arm all the way back and said, ‘Fuck you, you white bitch’ And she closed her fist and punched me.”
Well if the Goldens threw the first punch, then it changes things a bit.
However, while on the Tyra Banks Show, Bianca said things went down a bit differently.
She said it was Nikki who kicked her mother in the groin and that Nikki’s dad then punched her mom in the face.
But, to that, Nikki says they are “Absolute lies.”
We think no one should have thrown the first punch. Then they wouldn’t be in this situation.
Idiots!

The Writers Guild of America wants to boycott Ozzy Osbourne’s new show.
On Wednesday, the WGA warned all of its members not to work on Ozzy’s upcoming comedy/variety show on Fox.
The reason?
The show’s producer, FremantleMedia North America, has offered writers a “sub-standard contract.”
They want the writers to be treated as if they’re working on “half-scripted” shows, which would cut down on the show’s writing fees.
According to the WGA, writing for The Osbournes: Loud and Dangerous, would usually be covered under the guild’s basic agreement.
However, Fremantle, wants to treat parts of the show as “reality content” which isn’t covered in the agreement. Fremantle had indicated that the writers would not be responsible for writing that part of the show, which the WGA has refused.
While some shows produced by Fremantle have been covered by the guild contract, many others - like American Idol - are not.
Last summer, the WGA even went on a bus tour, which they called the American Idol Truth Tour, and followed the show’s audition all over the country to talk to the public about what they say are substandard working conditions for writers and staff.
David Shall, Fremantle’s general counsel and executive vp of business operations, is accussing the WGA of running a campaign of “defamation and negative propaganda” against them.
Shall said they contacted the WGA in good faith to hire writers for their Osbourne show.
But the WGA has chosen to have its members boycott the show and any writers found working for them could face a fine.
Boycott it, we say!
This new Osbourne show is just like all the other variety shows of the past - like Carol Burnett. It should have the same contract for the writers!

Can you handle this, Marvel comics fans?
The cartoon division of Marvel Entertainment is beginning production on a TV cartoon called The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
It should be available for broadcast in 2011.
The series’ broadcast debut will reportedly come in time for the theatrical release of Marvel’s live-action movies The First Avenger: Captain America and The Avengers.
Interesting. Iron Man is apparently one of the superheroes who’s part of the Avengers crew.
We hear the sound of lots of money rolling in Marvel’s direction!

Congrats, boys!
According to preliminary reports, the second debate between Barack Obama and John McCain on Tuesday was up 21% from their first face-off.
If the numbers hold up after the rest of the numbers come in, Tuesday’s debate will stand as the highest-rated presidential debate since 1992.
However, Barack and John weren’t able to beat Sexy Sarah and Joe from Scranton’s debate ratings. The Veep debate scored three ratings points higher!
And, according to people surveyed by CBS, NBC, CNN and get this, Fox, after the debate, Barack Obama won round #2.
Round #3 is scheduled for October 15th.
Fun, fun!

First, the very good news: Shannen Doherty has signed on to star in two additional episodes of 90210 this season.
Yay!!!!
The CW’s new 90210 is paralleling its predecessor in more than one way!
Amid diva drama and skinny suspicions, the show seems to be trying its best to reunite all of the previous generation on set, in some form or another.
So far they’ve managed to score Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty in reprisal roles. And now it looks like Doherty’s one-screen brother, Jason Priestley, is set to return as well. Only Priestley will remain behind the camera as a director, not too unlike the executive producer role he took on in the original series.
Will Priestley end up directing Doherty?
Executive producer Gabe Sachs said it “would be a kick for Jason to work with any of his [former 90210 costars], and it would also add something special to that episode. But we don’t know whether that will happen yet.”
More likely Priestley will be directing Garth, who is slated to return for even more episodes, despite rumors otherwise.
Now they just gotta hook Tori Spelling and Luke Perry.
Come on Perry! Don’t let your character be a deadbeat dad!

Saturday Night Live is not the only show benefitting from the current U.S. Presidential election.
The View is also experiencing a resurgence in vitality, thanks to their lone conservative voice Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
She sure knows how to get the other ladies riled up!
Things started out nice and civil during Hot Topics on Tuesday but they turned real ugly before they went to commercial break.
It “got personal,” cried Elizabitch.
CLICK HERE to watch their latest McCain/Obama blow-up. It gets really good around the 5:00 minute mark!
