According to Variety, The View has finally taken the ‘week’s most watched show in daytime’ crown.

The blabfest averaged 4.7 million viewers for the week ended Sunday.

It scored its biggest aud ever (6.2 million) on November 5th, the Wednesday after the election.

Yeah, everyone wanted to see Elizabitch eat it!

Good luck keeping the momentum post-elections.

Whoopi seems to be keeping herself pretty busy these days.

As we mentioned earlier this week, Whoopi signed a new development deal with Discovery Emerging Networks and will be in charge of developing series for the Investigation Discovery and Science Channel.

And now, Miz Goldberg is going back to her beginnings. Somewhat.

Whoopi is set to produce a stage version of Sister Act to play in London.

The musical, based on Whoopi’s 1992 hit, will open on June 2nd, 2009 at the London Palladium and will have preview performances starting Might 6th.

Unfortunately, Whoopi won’t be starring in the musical.

We can’t wait to see it though.

Seriously, Elizabitch Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd should try reading some facts before spilling lies from their mouth!!!!!

As we mentioned before, Elizabitch LIED to the entire country when she stated that California’s Proposition 8, to ban gay marriages, would mean that religious leaders could go to jail for refusing to perform a same sex marriage.

NOT TRUE!

That then caused the “god worshiping” Sherri to make her own comments. She said, “I don’t want to know that my pastor — because, you know, the church is preaching against homosexuality, and I don’t want to know that my pastor could be jailed.”

Well, we guess God doesn’t want gay couples that love each other to get married, but he’s ok with Sherri sleeping around before getting married right? Oh, and we guess God is ok with Sherri having had abortions in the past as well!

And it seems like Elizabitch and Sherri are still trying to brainwash people into thinking something false about Proposition 8 as they continue to bring up the lie that it affects religious groups.

Oh, and Elizabitch has said many times already that Proposition 8 passed by a majority of 62%. Someone should tell her to fact check. According to the California Secretary of State’s office, the prop for hate passed with only 52.3% of the vote.

At least Whoopi pointed out the obvious and said, “It is unfortunate that people used not-honest things to go about it, because if the fear — if people put fear into people and made them believe things that weren’t true, that’s not how you want somebody to vote. You want them to vote the truth, and you want them to vote their heart.”

Yes!

Thank goodness Whoopi is on the show.

Aside from co-hosting The View and having her own radio show, Whoopi Goldberg is expanding her mini media empire.

Whoopi has just signed a new development deal with Discovery Emerging Networks.

Using her production company, Whoop Inc, the talented and opinionated Goldberg - along with her partner Tom Leonardis - will be in charge of developing series for the Investigation Discovery and Science Channel.

Which means that we’ll soon see at least one of Whoopi and Tom’s ideas take off.

Whoopi stated, “Since I’m really curious about the world, what better place for Tom and me to exercise this interest than at Discovery?”

How many people actually watch the Discovery channels?

Amid rumors that The View’s Elizabitch Hasselbeck and Joy Behar are no longer on speaking terms, at a panel discussion on Art and Educational Justice on Monday, Whoopi Goldberg revealed that of all the show’s hosts, Elizabitch receives the most death threats.

Yikes!

Whoopi admits that she respects her co-host “tremendously” and that they “could not have a dialogue without Elizabeth,” valuing the “conversation” above their polar opposite political beliefs.

The View’s token blonde Republican is apparently “really upset” about recent election discussions on the show.

Though reportedly not as bad as the “Rosie era,” Barbara Walters has called a little powwow with Elizabitch Hasselbeck, Whoopi Goldberg, and Joy Behar.

Now, girls, play nice!

If you’ll recall, Elisabitch ended up in tears back in July after a heated discussion of the n-word during which Goldberg concluded that she and Hasselbeck “don’t live in the same world.”

Former co-host and arch nemesis Rosie O’Donnell likened Elizabitch to Sexy Sarah as an “identical cousin…women who hunt in high heels.”

Meow!

RoRo left the show earlier than planned after an on-air cat fight with Elizabitch, but she can’t seem to stop talking smack!

On The Martha Stewart Show, Rosie called Elizabitch “a little Republican” who scared her.

There have also been recent reports that Hasselbeck may be leaving her role as a co-host on The View to host her own show on the Fox News Channel.

As you recall from last week, Elizabitch Hasselbeck got very emotional during a debate with Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepard over the use of the controversial N word on The View.

Hasselbaeck insisted that the word should not be used to describe anyone or be used by anyone. Whoopi took the position of many stating that only members of the black community are entitled to use the word.

Now steps in actor Taye Diggs, who has his own opinion about the situation and about Hasselbeck.

Diggs says Hasselbeck “doesn’t understand, and, no offense — I don’t think any white person has the right to tell a black person or to even weigh in on subject matter such as that. They don’t know what it’s like to be called that word; they don’t know what it’s like to be black.”

Diggs continued, “They can have an opinion, but… don’t take a word that you created and called me for many, many years, and then me being in my position, have the strength to change what it means in my own culture. Don’t try to take it back now. Now it’s ours. Leave it alone.”
