Former German tennis star Boris Becker was the youngest player ever, at 17, to win the Wimbledon men’s singles title. But the former champion on the court has some sad news to deal with off the court - he was recently dumped by his fiancee.

At least Taylor Swift got a phone call!

The 40 year-old Becker said in a recent interview, “On Friday evening, October 31, I suddenly got an SMS from Sandy .. saying that this was it, that this over. To make sure how serious she was she sent me five others saying the same thing.”

It was such a low blow that the now professional poker player Becker said it “trampled on my soul. I was totally surprised.”

Awwww!!!!!!

Talk about a shitty breakup.

Lance Armstorng’s return to the 2009 Tour de France after 3 years of ‘retirement’ might get u-g-l-y!

The seven time Tour winner revealed in a new interview that he’s afraid for his safety out there on the course.

Why????

He says, “There’re some aggressive, angry emotions [in France]. If you believe what you read my personal safety could be in jeopardy. Cycling is a sport of the open road and spectators are lining that road. I try to believe that people, even if they don’t like me, will let the race unfold. There’re directors of French teams that have encouraged people to take to the streets … elbow to elbow. It’s very emotional and tense.”

He also acknowledged the doping accusations that have been directed his way, “I comprehend people in France and in cycling might have that perception but the reality is that there’s nothing there. The level of scrutiny I’ve had throughout my career from the press and the anti-doping authorities is unmatched. I’m not afraid of anything. I’ve got nothing to hide. I won seven Tours through hard work.”

We hope his fears don’t turn to reality.

The organizers need to make sure none of that violent stuff happens, right?!

Race automobile guy Helio Castroneves was scheduled to face the Tax Man in court in March of 2009.

We’ve mentioned previously that he’s accused of dodging U.S. taxes on about $5.5 million in income by using offshore accounts.

However, he’s begged a judge for a delay because he could lose his ‘job’.

The trial would fall smack dab in the middle of racing season and the team he races for, Penske, would have to fire him soon so they have the ability to get someone more stable in their driver’s seat.

Helio’s lawyers argued that it would be “catastrophic” for him to lose his job and that “a presumed innocent defendant should not face the prospect of losing his career based solely on the return of an indictment.”

Pay your taxes, y’all!

As you all know by now, Hugh Hefner’s former girlfriend, Kendra Wilkinson, is no longer dating the old playboy.

Instead, she’s now engaged to Philadelphia Eagle Hank Baskett. And lucky for us, Baskett isn’t shy to talk to the media.

At a fundraiser last night, Baskett took some time to speak about his fiance and her former fling.

According to Baskett, Kendra is very passionate about children’s charities, just like he’s.

He states, “Kendra has one of the biggest hearts and that’s one of the things that really drew me to her.”

It wasn’t her tight body and fake boobs?

As for Kendra’s relationship with Hef, Baskett says the playboy is more like a father to her.

Adding, “Hef is like a father to her so he’s going to be the one to give her away. That’s why I wanted his blessings and her mom’s blessing.”

Ewwwww! Ladies, please don’t have the father-daughter relationship that Baskett states Kendra and Hef had.

As for the new happy couple, it seems they’ve been dating for the last nine months already, despite past denials from Wilkinson. And they’ve sooooooo much in common.

Baskett says, “Both of us like to stay home and wear sweats than go out and celebration. She’s really down to Earth that’s what drew us to each other.”

Again, are you sure it wasn’t her tight body and fake boobs????

He adds, “Ever since I met her this is the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. And every day she does something else that makes me fall in love with her.”

How sickeningly sweet.

As for their wedding, it’s apparently going to take place at the Playboy Mansion on June 27th with Hef giving the bride away.

That is if Kendra and Baskett are still together by then and Hef is still alive!

Cristiano Ronaldo’s classy ex-girlfriend, Nereida Gallardo, just sold him out to the UK tabloids!

The former ‘model’ sheds some light on Ronnie’s super metro beauty regimen and self-centered tendencies.

Crissy is self-centered? Get out!

Gallardo said, “He likes his body to be smooth all over and would even use a hair removal cream. He would also use tubs of moisturiser, coating every part of his body, at least twice a day… His home is full of mirrors so he’s always walking around glancing at himself.

She also went on to reveal that Ronnie has his initials and the number seven all over the place (it’s on the doors, the coffee tables, etc.).

And, in addition to looking at himself in the mirror, he LOVES playing with his own curly hair.

During the interview, the ex also mentions that Ronnie broke up with her by text, which she’s still pissed about, “He’s a coward who couldn’t end it face-to-face.”

Lastly, Crissy is a massive momma’s boy. The soccer groupie places a lot of the break up blame on Ronnie’s mom, “He phones her each day. I wouldn’t be surprised if his next girlfriend is chosen by his mum.”

Note to self. Get in good with Crissy’s mom.

Former Laker and basketball hall of famer Magic Johnson has leant his voice to the fight against California’s discrminatory Proposition 8.

The point guard recorded the following message that will be going out to voters in the golden state:

“This is Magic Johnson calling to ask you to join me and Barack Obama in opposing Proposition 8. Prop 8 singles out one group of Californians to be treated differently - including members of our family, our friends, and our coworkers. That is not what California is about. So this Tuesday, vote no on Proposition 8. It is unfair and wrong. Thanks.”

Former 49ers quarterback, Steve Young, the great-great-great grandson of Brigham Young, the second president of the Mormon church has supported the fight against H8te.

He is going against his church, that’s a true maverick!

According to reports, there are NO to 8 signs posted in front of his fancy San Francisco-area home and his wife, Barbara, has donated $50,000 to defeat the hate-filled proposition.

Mrs. Young initially issued this statement regarding the family’s stand on 8:

“We believe ALL families matter and we don’t believe in discrimination, therefore, our family will vote against Prop. 8.”

However, she later clarified her remarks with an updated statement:

“To expand on my earlier email, I am very passionate about this issue and Steve is completely supportive of me and my work for equality. We both love our Church and are grateful that our Church encourages us to vote our conscience. Steve prefers not to get involved politically on any issue no matter what the cause and therefore makes no endorsement.”

David Beckham’s “temprary” move from the LA Galaxy to AC Milan (in Italia) was finally and officially finished. For the months of January and February, Becks will be on loan to Italy.

Details of the loan, however, remain confidential.

Beckham might leave earlier in December to undergo a physical (And don’t we wish we could be the doctors administering that!) to don a Rossonero uniform and reveal his Italian jersey number. But he’s almost certain to return in March.

No word yet on what Posh Spice will do in Becks’ absence.

But we hear there’s some good shopping in Italy!

This is odd.

David Beckham is speaking out about how he believes soccer leagues are over-paying young athletes.

Uh huh!

According to Beckham, he believes it’s stupid to reward young players with huge paychecks before they’ve even made it big.

Beckham claims that the large money deals will eventually ruin the game since the younger players will no longer have a need to succeed.

David says, “It used to be that when you got into the first team then the rewards would come, whereas young kids these days are earning so much money at such a young age. You want that hunger there, you want the hunger to be rewarded. Unfortunately, that’s not the case these days. They can all afford to buy their own cars. That’s the bad part - to have that at such a young age.”

Actually, that kind of makes sense.

If they’ve already made their millions, why work hard?

Well, it’s not all about money. Is it???

Portuguese superstar/Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo has just been been named FIFPro World Footballer of the Year.

Congrats, tanningholic one!

Reports say that he’s also expected to win the Balon d’Or and the Fifa World Player of the Year award.

All these awards are coming Ronnie’s way because he played a huge role in Manchester United’s successful 2007-08 season.

The north England team captured both the English Premiere League and Champion’s League titles.

Ronaldo also killed any transfer rumors that are floating around. He told a Spanish paper, “I insist that I am a Manchester United player and now I think that next year I will continue here.”

That must make United fans happy, right?

The newest Major League Soccer team, the Seattle Sounders, is expected to announce on Tuesday that Swedish soccer sensation, homolicious Freddy Ljungberg will be part of their team.

Freddy was featured prominently in a Calvin Klein underwear campaign a few years ago.

Delish!

The Swede has faced off against reigning MLS Euro hunk, David Beckham, many times. A few years back, they both played in England’s profesh soccer league.

Freddy played for Arsenal when Becks was part of Manchester United.
